Barbara Ann Mirer, 76,  passed away Monday morning at Morrison Woods in Muncie, IN following an extended illness.

Barbara was born in Detroit, Michigan, May 3rd, 1938 to her  late parents; Eldon H. and Rose (Ratke) Palm.  She graduated from McKenzie High School in Detroit in 1956 and studied Occupational Therapy at Eastern Michigan University.   She served as a reading tutor and aide for several years at Mt. Pleasant Township Community Schools. She attended church at St. Francis Catholic Church in Muncie.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Edward Mirer of 56 years. Two sons, Steven Mirer of Yorktown and Daniel Mirer, wife-Jayna of Bloomington. Two daughters, Ellen Mirer of Seymour and Mary Garland, husband-Paul of Columbus, IN. One brother, David Palm, wife-Diane of Winona, MN and one sister, Susan Palm of Yorktown, IN.  Three grandchildren, Austin and Carolyn Mirer and Andrew Garland.

A Celebration of Barbara's Life will be held Saturday 1:00 p.m. at the Gant Funeral Home, Yorktown chapel.  Burial will follow in the Hawk Cemetery, Yorktown.
