Beverly Lynne Martin, 73, of Selma, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning, February 7, 2017 at her home with family following a short illness.
Beverly was born November 8, 1943 to the late Kelley and Virginia (Main) Sewell. She graduated from Selma High School and went on to attend Ball State University. Beverly married Ben Martin on October 24, 1965 and was blessed with four children. Beverly was a homemaker and also worked as a teacher at Calvary Christian School. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Farmland. She enjoyed painting, flowers, furniture restoration and spending time with her family.
Beverly is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Ben Martin; four children, Michael Martin (wife Barbara) of Greentown, Benjamin Martin (wife Susan) of Sheridan, Scott Martin (wife Susan) of Whitestown, and Greg Martin (wife Melissa) of Selma; 11 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Alexandra, Jacob, Benjamin "Eli", Shannie, Jessica, Kristen, Brooklyn, Breannah, Braxton, and Brayden Martin; three brothers, Ron Sewell (wife Carol), Loren Sewell (wife Carol), and Tom Sewell (wife Krista); a sister-in-law, Kathy Sewell; and several nieces and nephews.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Reginald Sewell.
A funeral service to celebrate Beverly's life will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, February 10, 2017 at Faith Baptist Church, 7750 W. Windsor Rd., Farmland, IN. Private burial will follow in Lawndale Cemetery in Ridgeville, IN.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Faith Baptist Church in Farmland, and also one hour prior to the funeral on Friday at the Church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to The Little Red Door 2311 W. Jackson St., Muncie, IN 47303
