Danny Lee Buck, 72, of Muncie, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Yorktown Manor.

Danny was born on February 5, 1951, in Muncie, to the late Daniel R. and Edith Buck. He was a 1969 graduate of Muncie Central High School and attended  Ball State University. Danny was an automotive machinist working for BK Machine for nearly 30 years before his retirement in 1995. He attended True Light Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his greatest joy was his family.

Danny is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Barbara Buck; two children, Nathan Buck (wife Cari) and Marinda Carpenter (husband Kyle); four grandchildren, Carson Millspaugh, Dane Buck, Michael Carpenter, and Madelyn Carpenter; father-in-law, Thomas Cousert; three sisters-in-law, Betty Buck, Connie Sue Buck, and Janell Morgan; and several nieces and nephews.

Danny was preceded in death by eight siblings, Joseph Buck, Donvil Buck, Winford Buck, Ezra Buck, Flora Johnson, Ora Buck, Jank Buck, and Clyde Buck.

A funeral service to celebrate Danny's life will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St. in Yorktown. Pastor Dennis Trimble will officiate.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Tuesday at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel.
