Dawn J. Finchum, 61, of Gaston, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, in Enid, OK where she was currently residing.

Dawn was born on September 13, 1960, in Muncie to Donald and Joann King. Dawn was a 1979 graduate of Wes-Del High School. She attended Union Chapel Baptist Church in Marion. Dawn loved her family and cherished her time spent with her children and grandchildren.

Dawn is survived by her mother, Joann King; three children, Jesse Davis, Jonah Finchum (Kaitlyn), and Shaylee Finchum; Dawn's companion, Ron Davis; two sisters, Kathy Wright (Bruce) and Donna Oldfield (Ronnie); brother, Brett King (Joyce); 14 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Dawn was preceded in death by her father, Donald King; and son, Noah Finchum.

A funeral service to celebrate Dawn's life will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at Gant Funeral Homes – Gaston Chapel, 109 W. Elm St. in Gaston. Pastor Stephen Mitchell will officiate. Burial will follow in Thompson Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember one hour prior to service from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm Wednesday, at Gant Funeral Homes – Gaston Chapel.
