Deborah Jo Sheward, 71, of Anderson, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021, at Countryside Manor in Anderson.

Deborah was born on January 9, 1950, in Anderson, Indiana. She retired from St. Vincent Anderson Hospital where she worked in housekeeping. She had also worked for Willows Nursing Home in Alexandria. Deborah enjoyed gardening and was an animal lover, especially her dogs and cats.

Deborah is survived by two children, Tammy Seegraves (husband Scott) and Joey Blanton; four grandchildren, Shanna Hunton (husband Brooks), Brandon Seegraves (wife Mackenzie), Lennon Carmichael, and Johnny Carmichael; three great-grandchildren, Kyndall Hunton, Pasilee Seegraves, and Brantly Seegraves; sister, Cherry Sneed (husband Kenny); brother, Randy Jarvis (wife Tracy); ex-husband, Cecil Blanton; and several nieces and nephews.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald Max and Beverly Jean Jarvis; daughter, Lisa k. Blanton; and five siblings, Sandy Pardue, Ronald Jarvis, Pam Turner, Robin Rinker, and Billy Jarvis.

A graveside service to celebrate Deborah's life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Thompson Cemetery in Gaston. Pastor Brian Wise will officiate. Burial of Deborah's ashes will follow the service.
