Deborah J. Patterson, 73, of rural Gaston, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Bethel Pointe Health Campus in Muncie.

Deborah was born on April 19, 1948, in Anderson, Indiana to the late Clifford and Della (Collins) Merrill. She was a 1966 graduate of Gaston High School. Deborah married Terry Patterson on May 11, 1973. She was a homemaker raising three children. Deborah loved music, singing, and the Lord.

Deborah is survived by her husband of 48 years, Terry Patterson; three children, Dawn Miller (husband Dean), Jeremy Patterson (wife Dawn), and Tejay Patterson; seven grandchildren, Tiffany Miller, Cody Miller, Allee Wright, Vincent Patterson, Maddie Patterson, Nora Patterson, and Tannon Patterson; a sister, Linda Burton (husband Frank); brother, Jeffrey Merrill; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no public services at Deborah's request.
