Jack Edward Howard  79, of Indianapolis passed away April 11th, 2015 at Hamilton Trace in Fishers.

Jack was born in Muncie, IN March 16th, 1936 to his patents, William Lewis and Reba Cleo Stephenson Howard.  He was a graduate of Muncie Central High school, class of 1954.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.  Jack worked in the lumber business  most of his life, including Kirby Wood Lumber and Woolahan Lumber, both in Muncie. He was former  superintendant at Elm Ridge Cemetery. He belonged to the American Legion Post #321 in Yorktown, IN

He is survived by two sons, Bret Howard, wife-Annette of Largo, FL and Jack D. Howard, wife-Sylvia of Fishers, IN. One daughter, Shelly Howard of Indianapolis.  One brother, Glenn "Buddy" Howard, wife Jean of Muncie, IN and a sister-in-law Susan Howard of Pendleton, IN. Five grandchildren; Monica Howard, Prudence Howard, Skylar Howard, Jackson and Cameron Howard.  Three great grandchildren, Calvin and Lars Wheeler and Jessica Smith. Several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Lavella Barkman, Louise Barnes and Shirley Gant.  Five brothers, Robert Howard, Roy Junior Howard, Harold Howard, Leon Howard, Carl Gene Howard.

Military Honors for Jack will by the Veteran's of Delaware County will be Saturday 11:00 a.m. at the Yorktown Legion@2110 South Broadway, Yorktown, IN.  Friends and family will gather at the legion following  veterans services.
