Jackie Wayne Doughty III, 30, of Yorktown, Indiana, passed away Monday evening at his home from liver failure.

Jack was born on November 30, 1987 in Muncie, Indiana. He was a 2007 graduate of Yorktown High School. Jack worked as a well driller and pump installer alongside his dad. He was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Cammack United Methodist Church. Jack enjoyed fishing, canoeing, camping, hiking, and playing soccer. He loved the outdoors and his beagles.

Jack is survived by his mom and dad, Jack Jr. and Kelly (Masters) Doughty of Yorktown; his son, Liam Matthew; his grandfather, Jack Doughty of Yorktown; two sisters, Desire' Stanley (husband Tanner) of Marion and Brandy Doughty of Yorktown; two nieces, Abigail and Astrid Stanley; a nephew, Hank Stanley; his beagles, Little Red and Jinx; and many other loving family and friends.

Jack was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Bonnie Masters; his paternal grandmother, Sandra Doughty Searfoss; an aunt, Sherry Charlton; cousin, Kyle Charlton; best friends, Kylie Cooksey and Paul Watts; and his beagle, M.J..

A funeral service to celebrate Jack's life will be held at 7:00 P.M. Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Gant Funeral Homes, Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St., Yorktown, IN 47396. Pastor Woody Sears and Pastor Jerry Thomas will officiate. Cremation will follow services.
