Obituary

Jacob Douglass Cleaver, 30, of Muncie, passed away unexpectedly Monday, October 19, 2015 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

Jake was born October 23, 1984 in Ocean Side, California. He attended Yorktown High School. He worked as an excavator operator at Earth Works. He enjoyed participating in football, basketball, motor cross, soapbox derbies, and karate. He also enjoyed watching sports, especially the Indianapolis Colts.

Jake is survived by his mother, Shelley Ingram; step-mother, Debbie Myers-Cleaver; grandmother, Judith Sloniker; grandparents, Leon "Junnie" and Barbara Cleaver; fiancé, Ashley Musick; unborn child, due in February, Kentley Nicole Cleaver; seven siblings, Jessica Cleaver, Michelle Wallace, Heather Abbott, Chelsie Hubbard, Kenny Myers, Josh Engelbrecht, and J.R. Engelbrecht; Three aunts, Lana Smith, Jane (Seal) Smith, and Shannon Murdon; and three uncles, Allen Sloniker Brad Sloniker, and Jimmy (Seal) Lithicum.

Jake was preceded in death by his father, Gregory Cleaver; grandpa, Richard Sloniker; brother, Jason Myers; and uncle, Brent Cleaver.

A memorial service to celebrate Jake's life will be held at 7:00 PM Monday, November 2, 2015 at Gant Funeral Homes, Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St., Yorktown, IN. Pastor Bill Bruneau officiating.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday, at Gant Funeral Homes, Yorktown Chapel.
