Jeraldean French, 80, of Muncie, passed away at her home on Monday, June 26, 2023.

Jeraldean was born on January 10, 1943, in Smithville, TN to the late Herbert and Cora West. She attended Yorktown Schools. Jeraldean married James French on January 17, 1959. She spent her life as a homemaker raising her five children. Jerladean attended Yorktown Methodist Church. She enjoyed vacationing in Tennessee, fishing, and spending time with her family.

Jeraldean is survived by her husband of 64 years, James French; five children, Timothy French, Tena Rees (husband Stephen), Teresa Hensley (husband Ronald), Tracy French (wife Lisa), and Toni West (husband Brian); 11 grandchildren, Tessa, Troy, Ian, Audrey, Sophia, Blake, Lauren, A.J., Bobbi, Sierra, Sienna, and Curren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Koons; and many nieces and nephews.

Jeraldean was preceded in death by two sisters, Roberta Storie and Irene Krouse; and six brothers, Earl, Raymond, Aaron, Moses, Leonard, and Bill West.

A funeral service to celebrate Jeraldean's life will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, July 1, 2023, at the Yorktown Methodist Church, 2301 S. Broadway St., in Yorktown. Pastor Herbert West will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Saturday at the church.
