Jerry R. Puckett, 85, of Yorktown, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at his home in Yorktown.

Jerry was born on December 19, 1939, in Muncie to the late Eithel and Margie Puckett. He was a 1958 graduate of Burris High School. Jerry was a United States Air Force veteran. He worked for many years at Westinghouse. Jerry enjoyed fishing and spending summers at his lake cottage.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Ruth Ann Britton; granddaughter, Holly Britton (Matt Urlage); great-granddaughter, Gracie May Urlage; and several nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Sharon Puckett; son, Raymond Puckett; granddaughter, Heidi Britton; sister, Sharon Starkey; and his beloved dog, Biscuit.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Jerry will be held at 11:00am Monday, May 12, 2025, at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St. in Yorktown. Burial will follow in Hawk Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Veterans of Delaware County Honor Guard.
