John Johnson, 76, of Muncie, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Brickyard Health Care in Muncie.

John was born on July 10, 1948, in Muncie to the late Donald H. and M. Margarette Johnson. He was a 1966 graduate of Muncie Central High School. John worked as a maintenance foreman at Warner Gear and had also worked at Muncie Metal Spinning. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and the CIOCC Car Club. John enjoyed biking, golfing, and archery.

John is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Rebecca Johnson; two sons, Michael V. Johnson and Wesley D. Johnson; a brother, R. Craig Johnson (wife Diana); and several additional family members including, grandchildren and cousins.

A funeral service to celebrate John's life will be held at 6:00pm Friday, March 14, 2025, at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St. in Yorktown. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery at a later time.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm Friday, at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of the donor's choice in memory of John.
