Karen Whitcomb, 58, passed away Friday, September 25, 2015, at her home in Eaton, Indiana.

Karen was born February 4, 1957 in Muncie, Indiana. Karen had worked for, and was a member, of the Moose Lodge #33 Women's Auxiliary. Karen enjoyed reading, shopping, and spending time on the beach. Her greatest joy in life was her family.

Karen is survived by her husband, Larry Whitcomb; her father, Herbert Holaday; five children, Clay Whitcomb (wife Tonya) of Sturgis, MI, Clarissa Potter (husband James) of Ft. Wayne, Amanda Turvey (husband Rich) of Eaton, Jennifer Gaetano of West Palm Beach, FL, and Holly Whitcomb of Sturgis, MI; five siblings, David Swift (wife Diane) of Muncie, Brad Swift (wife Judi) of Muncie, Chuck Swift (wife Barb) of Muncie; Kenny Swift (wife Kyndra) of Muncie; and Trey Holaday of Boston, MA; brother-in-law, Shawn Miller of Muncie; 11 grandchildren, Dylan, Camryn, Devyn, Daelyn, Amara, Austin, Sevon, Clayton, Jada, Sophia, and Lane; great-grandson, Wyatt; special friend, Terry Fench; and several nieces and nephews.

Karen was preceded in death by her mother, Patty (Halbert) Holaday; father and step-mother, Fred and Gertrude Swift; two siblings, Brenda Swift and Shawnda Miller; and her mother and father-in-law, Clayton and Janet Whitcomb.

A funeral service to celebrate Karen's life will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at Riverview Baptist Church, 6601 Black Mills Road in Albany, Indiana.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Tuesday, at Riverview Baptist Church.

Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of the Donor's choice in memory of Karen.
