Kimberly Kay Mathews, 60, of Muncie, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024, surrounded by family at her home in Cammack.

Kim was born on July 4, 1963, in Muncie, Indiana to the late Jack and Alta Renner. She was a 1981 graduate of Yorktown High School. Kim was a homemaker who lived her life for her family. She most enjoyed being a Nana and spoiling her granddaughter.

Kim is survived by two children, Christina Beaty (husband Jesse) and Donald "Brad" Main (wife Emily); her mother, Alta Renner; and granddaughter, Samantha Beaty.

Kim was preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 20 years, James Mathews; her father, Jack Renner; and a sister, Karen Walters.

A funeral service to celebrate Kim's life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St. in Yorktown. Burial will follow in Hawk Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, March 1, 2024, and one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel.
