Linda Diane Hatfield, 75, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at her home in Muncie.

Linda was born on August 30, 1946, to the late Grover and Dorothy VanScoyk. She was a 1964 graduate of Royerton High School and went on to graduate from Indiana Business College. Linda retired from the Delaware County Sheriff's Department where she had served as Head Matron of the jail under Sheriff Dan Elliott. Linda had also worked as a teller at Merchants Bank for 18 years. She played in softball leagues and bowling leagues in her younger years. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Bruce Hatfield; two children, Kevin Hatfield and Kristi Epperson (Dave); four grandchildren, Amber Hatfield, Candace Beeler (Josh), Derek Beeler (Kati), and Jacob Hatfield; six great-grandchildren, Elijah, Kaeden, Zander, Jaxon, Jensen, and Brayden; and a special niece, Lindsay Fink.

Linda was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Maul.

A gathering of family and friends will take place from 4:00 until 8:00 pm Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Yorktown Middle School.
