Marilyn L. "Mugs" Kashi, 79, of Muncie, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.

Marilyn was born on December 7, 1944, in Jackson, MI to the late Doc and Madge Jones. Marilyn was a 1962 graduate of Vandercook Lake High School. She spent her life as a hairdresser and homemaker. She was a member of the Yorktown Legion Women's Auxiliary. Marilyn's greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marilyn is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Mike Kashi; two sons, Mike Kashi II (wife Delia) and Steven Kashi (wife Lesley); nine grandchildren, Hailey, Austin, Sadie, Kaylee, Jaden, and Devan Kashi, and Jerry, Joylynn, and Jason Fang; six great-grandchildren, Grayson, Harper, Remey, and Clementine Kashi, and Ophelia and Lincoln Wallace; a sister, Joy Moss; a brother, Brent Jone (wife Bonnie); and several nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was preceded in death by a son, Chad Joseph Kashi; and two brothers, Bo and Roger Jones.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Thursday at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel.

A funeral service to celebrate Marilyn's life will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St. in Yorktown. Pastor Todd Poynter with Greenwood Bible Baptist Church will officiate. Marilyn's family will also hold services for her on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Burden-Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home in Jackson, MI before cremation.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Yorktown American Legion Post# 321, 2110 S. Broadway St., Yorktown, IN 47396.
