Nancy (Thornburg) Helm, 74, of Gaston, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, June 6, 2018.

Nancy was born November 14, 1943 in Muncie, Indiana to the late Clyde and Madeleine (Weekley) Thornburg. She was a 1962 graduate of Monroe Central High School and attended Ball State University. Nancy was a homemaker who dedicated her life to her family. She was a member of the Parker City United Methodist Church and attended Gethsemane United Methodist Church. Nancy enjoyed time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Richard A. Helm; three children, Kara Kinsey (husband Brad) of Gaston, Marci Reno (husband Jeff) of Gaston, and Eric Helm (wife Shanna) of Nashville, TN; ten grandchildren, Cory, Michael, Casey, Mace, Drake, Chloe, Marah, Joshua, Elijah, and Emma Grace; four great-grandchildren, Zacariah, Cameron, Layla, and Cooper.

A funeral service to celebrate Nancy's life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 9, 20018 at Parker City United Methodist Church, 305 S. Main St., Parker City, IN 47368. Pastor Laura Helm will officiate. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery in Windsor, IN.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday, June 8, 2018 at Gant Funeral Homes, Gaston Chapel, 109 W. Elm St., Gaston, IN 47342 and also one hour prior to her funeral service on Saturday at the Parker City United Methodist Church.
