Patricia Ruth McLaughlin, 80, of Gilman, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord Sunday evening, February 22, 2015 in Greentown, Indiana.

Patricia was born December 16, 1934 in Marion, Indiana to the late Robert and Mary Heeter. Patricia married Kenneth McLaughlin on November 4, 1950. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker.

Patricia was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church and a past member of the Randolph County Home Economics Club. She volunteered at Ball Memorial Hospital for over 25 years and had also over seen the Winchester Food Pantry. Patricia was a ceramic artist who also taught ceramics for over 20 years. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was an excellent cook and seamstress. Patricia was a loving and caring person who never met a stranger. She will be greatly missed by many.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 64 years, Kenneth McLaughlin; five children, Vickie McLaughlin Dinsmore (husband David) of Morrow, OH, Mike McLaughlin (wife Rhonda) of Frankfort, Melinda McLaughlin Bagley (husband Dennis) of Greentown, Patrick McLaughlin (wife Carlye) of Ft. Wayne, and Matthew McLaughlin (wife Jeannette) of Michigan City; nine grandchildren, Amanda Jayne Hill, Erin Elizabeth Cebelak, Luke and Chloe McLaughlin, Zachary Bagley, Hannah Bonifacius, Kyle, Claire, and Rachel McLaughlin; three great-grandchildren, Ophelia, Alaina, and Kaleb; a brother Joe Heeter; and a sister, Elizabeth Teeters.

Patricia was preceded in death by two brothers, Dan and Phillip Heeter.

A Funeral Service to celebrate Patricia's life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 27, 2015 at Trinity Baptist Church, 5000 N. Morrison Road, Muncie, with Pastor Tim Raymond officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Trinity Baptist Church.
