Richard "Rick" E. Craig, 60, of Gaston, went home to be with his Lord on December 24, 2018 surrounded by his family at his home in rural Gaston following a courageous battle with cancer.

Rick was born September 19, 1958 in Portland, Indiana to the late Logan and Patricia (Carder) Craig. He was a 1976 graduate of Blackford County High School and went on to earn his associates degree from Ivy Tech. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and worked in technical support. Rick was a member of Prairie Grove Church and enjoyed biking, fishing, playing euchre, and most of all, spending time with his family.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Brenda Craig; two daughters, Kathryn Rastakhiz (husband Maverick) of Muncie and Nikki Pick (husband Trey) of Cincinnati; a grandson due in February of 2019; two brothers, Wayne Craig (wife Sandy) of Hartford City and Robert Craig (wife Sue) of Hartford City; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to celebrate Richard's life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Gant Funeral Homes – Gaston Chapel, 109 W. Elm St., Gaston, IN 47342. Burial will follow in Thompson Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday, December 28, 2018 and one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday at Gant Funeral Homes – Gaston Chapel.
