Robert E. "Bob" Stephens, 94, of Gaston, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Morrison Woods Health Campus in Muncie.

Bob was born on April 11, 1927, in Twelve Mile, Indiana to the late R. Earl and Annis (Stillwell) Stephens. He attended Gaston High School and graduated from Converse High School. Bob served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Bob was a life-long farmer and also worked as local superintendent for both the Delaware County and Indiana State Hi-way Departments. He was a member of Prairie Grove Church in Gaston. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family at his lake house on Indian Lakes.

Bob is survived by his son Jeff Stephens (wife Lisa) of Gaston; three grandchildren, Cole Stephens (wife Samantha) of Gaston, Jentry O'Daniel (husband Casey) of Indianapolis, and Maci Burns (husband Eddie) of Matthews; three great-grandchildren, Brecken and Aspen Stephens of Gaston and Jorie O'Daniel of Indianapolis; two nieces, Julie Herron (husband Fred) of Gaston and Nancy Lunsford of Kankakee, IL; and a nephew, Steve Pearson of Seattle, WA.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Milhollin) Stephens; and a sister, Wanda Pearson.

A funeral service to celebrate Bob's life will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, June 18, 2021, at Gant Funeral Homes – Gaston Chapel, 109 W. Elm St., Gaston, IN 47342. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery in Eaton, Indiana.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Friday at Gant Funeral Homes – Gaston Chapel.
