Sharon Puckett, 77, of Yorktown, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at her home following an extended illness.

Sharon was born on February 14, 1943 in Muncie to the late Ray and Oakley (Davis) Guinn. She graduated from Yorktown High School. Sharon had worked at the Ross IGA Market in Yorktown before it closed. Sharon was a homemaker and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Jerry Puckett; a daughter, Ruth Ann Britton; granddaughter, Holly Britton; great-granddaughter, Gracie May Urhlage; three sisters, Ruby Martin, Carol Ward, and Wanda Lou Moore; twin brother, Don Guinn; and several nieces and nephews.

Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Ray Guinn; mother, Oakley Guinn – Ward; son, Raymond Puckett; granddaughter, Heidi Britton; sister, Linda White; three brothers, Mearl Guinn, Jim Guinn, and Dick Ward; and sister-in-law, Sharon Starkey.

A funeral service to celebrate Sharon's life will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 21, 2020 at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St., Yorktown, IN 47396. Pastor Marty Ballard will officiate. Burial will follow in Hawk Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM Monday, at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel.
