Skyler Denney, 24, of Muncie, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, June 18, 2021.

Skyler was born on June 17, 1997, in Muncie, to Christopher Denney and Jennifer May. He was a 2016 graduate of Wes-Del High School where he participated in band. Skyler worked in construction at L.J. Stone. He was a talented musician who loved to play guitar. He also enjoyed cars and fishing.

Skyler is survived by his mother, Jennifer May; father, Christopher Denney; three siblings, Alyssa Denney (Aaron), Austin Denney, and Morgan Denney; grandmother, Julie May Swartz; grandparents, Penny Denney and Mark Garrison; grandfather, Gary Denney; two great-grandfathers, Charles Kirtley (Betty) and Bud Scott; two aunts, Michelle Burns (Joe) and Sara Gerke (Terry); uncle, Larry May (Kristan); niece, Mia; nephew, Sawyer; special cousin, Alex Young; several additional cousins and extended family.

Skyler was preceded in death by his grandfather, Rodney May; great-grandmothers, Norma Jean Kirtley and Kay Scott.

A private funeral service to celebrate Skyler's life will be held at Gant Funeral Homes – Gaston Chapel. Pastor Bill Bruneau will officiate. Burial will follow in Thompson Cemetery.
