Terry Gene Patterson, 75, of Gaston, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022, at his home in rural Gaston.

Terry was born on August 28, 1946, in Marion to the late Virgil "Pat" and Dora Mae Patterson. He was a 1964 Graduate of Jefferson Township High School. Terry married Deborah Merrill on May 11, 1973. They were married 48 years before her death last December. Terry retired from I&M in 1985, after 20 years as an electrical engineer. Terry owned Terry's place in Matthews, Flea Bite Graphics, and Terry's Imports and Exports. He had also owned and operated a stage and sound company for many national and regional acts and was stage manager for Flynnville Train. Terry enjoyed working on cars, blues music, and spending time with his family.

Terry is survived by three children, Dawn Miller (husband Dean), Jeremy Patterson (wife Dawn), and Tejay Patterson; seven grandchildren, Tiffany Miller, Cody Miller, Allee Wright, Vincent Patterson, Maddie Patterson, Nora Patterson, and Tannon Patterson; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Susan Lowery (husband Ron); brother, Galen Patterson (wife Kathy); and several nieces and nephews.

Upon Terry's request he will be cremated with no public services. Terry's ashes will be buried with his wife at Matthews Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be given in memory of Terry to A.R.F or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
