William Arthur Stevens, 78, of Yorktown, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022, at his home.

Bill was born on October 3, 1943, in Alabama. Bill worked for Delco Remy for 31 years before his retirement. Bill was a homebuilder and owner of Fine Line Homes. Bill was also a Yorktown School bus driver for 16 years. Bill was a member of Riverside Baptist Church and the Homebuilders Association. He enjoyed listening to music and playing with his dogs.

Bill is survived by a daughter, Sherri Strayer (husband Todd) of Fishers; two sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, Homer Stevens; mother, Opal (Jones) Lee; and a brother, John Stevens.

A funeral service to celebrate Bill's life will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, February 18, 2022, at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St. in Yorktown. Burial will follow in Hawk Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM Friday, at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel.
